The Book Shelf

Little storybooks for grown-ups — cozy pictures, a happy ending, and one real money-saving idea tucked inside every tale. Cozy up, stringbeans: these read beautifully right here on the site, phone, iPad, or laptop. No app and no PDF reader needed.

Tap “Read the book” and it pops open full screen — nice big pages, easy on the eyes. Close it any time to come back to the shelf. New storybooks will land here as they're written, each with its own cover thumbnail.

Book 1

The Great Pickup Adventure

by Mystringbean.com · cover + 9 story pages

The money lesson: Nia and Arlo are craving tacos — until the delivery app piles on a $5 delivery fee, a $3 service fee, and a $6 tip. Watch them flip one clever toggle, lace up their sneakers, and rescue taco night (and their budget) the stringbean way.

Cover of The Great Un-Buying of Elara: Elara beaming at her phone amid a tower of delivery boxes while Xanthe holds up a pink teapot
Book 2

The Great Un-Buying of Elara

by Mystringbean.com · cover + 9 story pages

The money lesson: Elara's apartment is buried in boxes — including a $50 Pearl-Dew Serum she “just had to have” before it sold out. With her friend Xanthe and a pot of tea, she learns the gentle art of un-buying: pausing, returning, and loving what she already owns.

Book 3

Still sprouting…

The next little storybook is being written now. When it's ready, its cover will sit right here on the shelf beside Books 1 and 2.
